Launching the Tiny Sex Series

On February 1, 2024, two Sex Educators - Naomi Price-Lazarus and Elizabeth Ortega - launched a collaborative project that seeks to highlight the voices of teenagers on topics of sex, consent, and relationships.

What is the Tiny Sex Series?

The goal of the Tiny Sex Series is to acknowledge and share the wisdom and experiences of young folks, particularly when it comes to highly stigmatized topics. Naomi and Elizabeth believe in the power of intergenerational learning, teaching, and particularly, uplifting the voices of young people for us all to learn from and with. They hope to cultivate more understanding and empathy across generations and difference.

How does it work?

At the beginning of every month, the Tiny Sex Series will post a new question that is open for submissions by teenagers. The submissions are due by the third week of the month, and will then be read, selected, and shared (note that not every submission will be shared). Those who submit will also be put into a monthly raffle to win sex-positive zines and stickers.

Who is the intented audience?

Anyone! But particularly parents, teacher, caregivers, or anyone who spends time with young people, as well as the young young people themselves. We hope that by inviting in and sharing stories, we can give voice to the teens who feels misunderstood or unseen by the adults in their life, and hopefully provide insights to help the adults in doing so!

How do I get invovled?

Follow the Tiny Sex Series on instagram (@tinysexseries) and check out the linktree. Updates will primarily occur over instagram.

We hope to hear from you (or the teens in your life)!
